About Us
Mission + Vision
DOCMAdocs aims to bring people together, both locally and globally, through the language of documentary film.

We want to share our passion for documentaries with individuals and groups, no matter their level of expertise in filmmaking. The DOCMA model combines fun with education, allowing participants to explore select themes within the constraints of a tight creative brief.
While we focus on the process of filmmaking, we love sharing the films that are made. Whether that is within the film festival environment, or via our DOCMA channel, it’s always great to showcase our participants’ unique and inspiring creations.

Origins
DOCMAdocs was formed in 2016 by Scotland-based filmmakers Yasmin Al-Hadithi, Anne Milne & Tomás Sheridan with the goal of inviting filmmakers and non-filmmakers
alike to participate in creative documentary projects.
DOCMAdocs grew out of a collaboration with DocKlub, a monthly 'support group' for documentary filmmakers that met in Edinburgh, Scotland, and later moved to the
Centre for Contemporary Art in Glasgow”.
